The Genesis Programs is a ministry of New Beginnings International Children’s & Family Services, Inc.  It is a new program began in October 2008 as an enhanced parenting education program for birthmothers with an unplanned pregnancy in Lee County and surrounding areas.  The birthmothers who participate in the program are in need of an abundance of support, love, and understanding as they make the hard decision to parent or place their unborn child for adoption.  The goal of our program is to provide birthmothers with the education (Options, Financial Literacy, etc) and tools (Career Counseling, Boundaries in Relationships, Sexual Integrity, etc) to make better decisions for their future as well as their unborn child.  By the time an adolescent and adult woman completes our program, she will:

·          Have experienced a positive atmosphere where she will discover the love of Jesus through healthy relationships with staff and volunteers.

·          Have been assisted in her early Christian growth and in a loving relationship with the living Christ through the Deep Roots Bible study.

·          If expectant, have made a decision concerning her unborn child through our Options Class.

·          Have addressed life issues and problems in her past through therapeutic classes (i.e. Relationships, Sexual Integrity, Anger Management, etc.).

·          Have learned basic life skills on finances and career education through Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey and Career Counseling.

·          Have learned basic legal concepts appropriate to young adulthood from Attorney, Kim Haney.

·          Have been encouraged to continue her education through various community referrals (i.e. The Link Center, The Learning Center, etc.).
